Description
The dorsalis pedis artery is midway between the two maIleoli to a point midway between the anterior extremities of the first and second metatarsal bones. Its course is over the first interosseous space. It is a continuation of the anterior tibial artery. It divides into two branches at the proximal region of the first intermetatarsal space: the dorsal metatarsal and the deep plantar artery. It supplies the foot.
