Description
The deep perineal pouch is a fascial space in the middle muscle wall of the perineum. The epimysial sheets of the middle muscle layer thicken and envelope the deep transverse perinei muscle and external urethral sphincter in the male and the external urethral sphincter, compressor urethrae, and sphincter urethrovaginalis muscles in the female.
