Etymology
In English, this muscle’s name is the tall, slender muscle. The Latin word procerus means “tall or slender.”
Origin
Lateral surface of the nasal bone and the superior portion of the lateral nasal cartilage
Insertion
Skin between eyebrows and lower part of the forehead
Action
Pulls the medial end of the eyebrow downward. It works with the corrugator supercilii and medial aspect of the orbicularis oculi to produce the transverse wrinkles across the top of the nose.

Facial nerve (Cranial nerve VII)
Blood supply
Supraorbital branch of the ophthalmic artery.
