Description

The canine teeth are located behind the incisors. They have a pointed crown and one root. They function to bite and tear food. There are two upper and two lower canine teeth. The maxillary canines have more pronounced features than the mandibular canines. The apex of the tooth is typically more blunt and the median ridge is absent from the lingual surface
