This is a series of strong ligaments on the palmar surface of the metacarpophalangeal joints, situated between the collateral ligaments to either side. They have grooved palmar surfaces for the flexor tendons of the digits.
Stabilize the metacarpophalangeal joint. Limit extension of the metacarpophalangeal joints.
