Description
This is essentially the posterior thickening of the fibrous capsule of the sternoclavicular joint. It attaches from the posterior surface of the medial end of the clavicle and courses inferiorly onto the posterior surface of the manubrium of the sternum.
Function
Stabilizes the sternoclavicular joint.
